Hi, I use a Bold 9780 which is 1.5 years old. I abuse the battery quite a bit: 2 hours daily of heavy usage on the metro with lousy coverage, I don't use wifi at work and make 2-3 calls daily, totalling 15-30 minutes. Lots of browsing, email, IM et al. I charge the phone daily and I used to go to bed with 30-40% battery left. However, lately the phone dies at 7pm or so without warning. On reboot, it says the battery is nearly empty. I've rundown the battery quite a few times, which might have contributed to the problem. On weekends (mostly wifi, no calls) the battery usage is much better. I'm wondering if this is par for the course or if other smartphones treat their batteries better... What does Ars say?I've bought an unofficial battery to see how it goes... Any help will be apprecited. I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
